The essentials
Proper doctor’s visit requires
Listening to patients, and understanding their medical issues, and related matters.
Examining patients and listening to their heart sounds
Explaining to patients, in clear terms, the medical condition and proposed treatment plan
Ordering tests and procedures to achieve the set goal.
We continue to practice medicine the proper way. We understand that you may have had visits elsewhere where the healthcare providers talks more to their computer than to you, but that’s not our way. We listen carefully, we understand fully, and we do what’s best for you, after explaining and discussing all available options with you.
EKG
Tracing of the electrical current generated in the heart is an essential test that every new patient must have. It is often the first step to diagnosing heart conditions, especially arrhythmias (abnormal rhythm of the heart)
Echo (-cardiogram)
A majority of new patients will need this test to visualize the heart, evaluate its function, and run calculations, for initial diagnosis or follow up, using ultrasound technology
Additional tests
There is a host of other tests that we perform in the hospital as needed. The most important of which is heart cath (-etherization) that enable the assessment the blockage in the small arteries that supply blood and oxygen to the heart. This test can be combined with placement of a stent when needed to open blocked arteries.
